Copying default settings from the Supervisor user

Because each user must have a unique SQL Login to identify them to the SQL server, there is no longer a generic Supervisor user as there was in version 19.7.

Although the migration program does not bring the Supervisor user into the new version of Sage 100 Contractor, you can copy default settings, such as grid views and reporting defaults, saved for the Supervisor in version 19.7 to individual users in Sage 100 Contractor 2016.

Note: Copying the Supervisor settings does not copy security settings or desktop settings to users.

  1. Log in to the Sage 100 Contractor company as a company administrator.
  2. Open the 7-2-2 User List window.
  3. If the user name does not appear in the grid, create the user, and then click the Save button.
  4. Click the [Copy User Defaults] button, or click Options > Copy User Defaults.
  5. In the Copy User Defaults window:
    1. On the Copy defaults from pane, select Supervisor.
    2. On the Copy to pane, select the user to whom you want to assign the default Supervisor settings.

TIP:  To copy the settings to more than one user, hold down the Control key while you make multiple selections in the Copy to pane.

    3. Click [OK].
    4. In the message box, click [Yes] to continue.
