Installing Sage 100 Contractor on client workstations

Important! Before installing the software, close all open programs except for firewall and anti-virus programs.

To install Sage 100 Contractor from a download package unzipped into a local or shared folder:

  1. Browse to the drive and folder where you downloaded and extracted the software package.
  2. In the folder, locate the setup.exe file and double-click it.
  3. Read the instructions on the installation welcome window, and click [Next]. 
  4. On the installation option window, select the option This computer will run Sage 100 Contractor only, and click [Next].
  5. On the license agreement window, read the License Agreement carefully.
  6. Select the check box to accept the terms, then click [Next] to continue the installation.

    The installer begins the installation process. It checks to see if the computer has .NET Framework 4.0. If this program is not found, the installer installs it.

  7. Install the Sample Company for training purposes.

    Tip: We recommend that you install the Sample Company.

    An installation complete window appears. The Launch Sage 100 Contractor check box is preselected so that you can launch Sage 100 Contractor and specify the Sage license server.

  8. Read the important message and follow the instructions to launch Sage 100 Contractor.
  9. Click [Finish].
  10. Sage 100 Contractor begins its launch process by displaying the Specify Sage License Server window.

Note: When Sage 100 Contractor in installed, an icon labeled License Administration is placed in the Start > Programs > Sage 100 Contractor menu of Windows and a file named Sage.SMB.LicenseAdministration.exe in the \Program Files (or Program Files (x86))\Sage\Sage 100 Contractor folder to provide you with the convenience and ability to view license information or update license information for your provisioned license server while on a machine other than the provisioned license server. You  can provision additional licenses you have recently acquired to the actual license server machine without having to be present at the actual license server.
