About the Archive Data wizard

Click the Archive Fiscal Year button is available on 1-6 Period and Fiscal Year Management for archiving previous fiscal year data. The button opens the Archive Data wizard.

The window provides archive Maintenance Options for removing completed jobs and other related records. This is your best opportunity to remove completed jobs and related job records from the database to maximize future performance before you create the archive company.

Archive maintenance options:

Remove ‘Closed’ and ‘Refused’ jobs (and related records)
Remove ‘Paid’ and ‘Void’ payable invoices with no Job#
Remove ‘Paid,' 'Completed,' and ‘Void’ service invoices dated prior to...(type a date)
Remove ‘Closed’ purchase orders with no Job# dated prior to...(type a date)

Note: We recommend that you only remove jobs that will not have any additional activity. You might consider leaving jobs open for an additional year in the event that you do more work on them. The jobs and associated information selected for removal will still exist in the archive directory.
